BROOKLYN, N.Y. — August 12, 2026 — Planet X Studios, a 14,000-square-foot virtual production studio, creative technology hub, and event venue in East Williamsburg, will host its inaugural Virtual Production Summit on Wednesday, August 12, welcoming filmmakers, producers, agencies, creators, journalists, technology companies, and industry leaders for a full day of demonstrations, presentations, discussions, and networking centered on the future of content creation.
Designed to showcase the latest advancements in virtual production and immersive media, the summit will feature hands-on demonstrations from leading technology partners while giving attendees an inside look at Planet X Studios’ integrated production ecosystem. The event will highlight how virtual production is transforming filmmaking, television, advertising, branded content, live events, and experiential marketing.
At the heart of Planet X Studios is one of New York City’s largest LED volumes—a 50-foot immersive digital stage capable of creating photorealistic environments for in-camera visual effects, cinematic lighting, real-time creative collaboration, and highly adaptable production workflows. Throughout the day, guests will experience demonstrations of the studio’s capabilities, including Unreal Engine-powered virtual production, motion capture, volumetric capture, augmented and virtual reality production, green screen, podcast production, photography, and in-house production and post-production services.
Sessions and demonstrations will explore how these technologies are enabling more efficient and innovative production across commercials, branded content, feature films, television, music videos, live events, product launches, immersive brand activations, livestreaming, educational programming, and multi-platform content creation. Attendees will also have opportunities to connect with fellow creatives, production professionals, technology innovators, and potential collaborators during dedicated networking sessions.
The summit is designed for producers, directors, agency executives, cinematographers, production companies, content creators, journalists, educators, and creative technologists seeking practical insights into emerging production technologies and the evolving landscape of visual storytelling.
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by an industry networking reception from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Planet X Studios, 180 Maspeth Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11211. Light refreshments will be available throughout the day, with lunch generously sponsored by AOTO.
