Dearest reader…
We met today for the Gather & Tend. co-working in spring — it was such a gorgeous way to spend the morning, sitting alongside other women writing, creating, tending, being and sharing.
It is also the three year anniversary of my publication Story & Thread., it felt apt to spend it in a collaborative, co-creative way, as I feel so grateful for the conversation and connection that has been woven into my time here so far. More thoughts on this to come!
I loved hearing about where everyone is at, and how the spring energies of renewal and growth seem to be reflected inwardly too — though with the reminder not to move forward too fast, there is no rush, we can take our time to unfold just as the spring flowers do.
I shared the poem above by Emory Hall which to me speaks so beautifully of this time (in the northern hemisphere) — of the vibrancy and refreshment that comes with spring. At the end of our creative time, we considered the prompts below…
**Winter is a time of receptivity and listening, rather than doing… what did you receive in winter?
**April comes from the Latin aperire, meaning ‘to open’… what are you opening to in spring?
I pulled an oracle card for everyone within the session, and a collective card for all of us from The Herbal Astrology Oracle by Adriana Ayales.
**Rosemary | Ancient Memory
Guidance: ruled by Mercury and the Sun, rosemary embodies the connection between mind and and the higher mind. This card signifies past feelings that are resurfacing and you may find yourself remembering ancestral memory that resides within your DNA. Rosemary heals us in healing through multdimensional sight, reminding us of the power of vision beyond the constructs of everyday life. Call upon Rosemary as a guiding light to see beyond the veil of confusion, and stay committed to the vision that drives you.
Having just planted rosemary in our garden, in the place of a shrub that had died, it feels potent to receive rosemary’s reminder here too.
