The Stitch List // 8.15.26

We are nearing the end of summer break, and while I’m sad to let go of these slow days, I’m ready for my routine again. I’m the type of person that only thrives with a routine, ha! We had a busy summer with several groups of family visiting and a quick trip back home to Kansas City celebrate my parent’s 50th anniversary.

With all the visitors in town, we spent many, many days in the city. And let me tell you, Chicago really shines in the summertime. The beaches, the Riverwalk, the patios, the festivals, the food! I had the best time showing it off.

Right now, I’m chomping at the bit to get back into my regular content schedule. I sat down this week to create my fall content calendar, and I have so many posts planned for the coming weeks.

I just finished another Ann Patchett novel - Tom Lake. I highly recommend the audiobook version which is narrated by the one and only, Meryl Streep.

Other books I read this summer and would recommend for your reading list: The Correspondent, Broken Country, How to Read a Book, Yesteryear (still thinking about this one), and The Story of Arthur Truluv (written by a local author!).

I’ve been saving a little wishlist of items for fall which I’m planning to share later, but it includes this rollneck sweater from J.Crew, this tote bag from Alex Mill (I can’t decide which color), and these Staud Wally Boots.

I’m very intrigued by Sézane’s next chapter. The full drop is August 23rd.

I finally invested in an Oura Ring. I like that it’s much more subtle than an Apple Watch with the new version (the 5) having a super slim profile. It also keeps a charge for 6-9 days which is much much longer than an Apple Watch. That’s my two cents on health trackers, anyway.

J.Crew Luna Pant in Cotton Poplin // This material is everything I want for summer to fall - light but with structure (and the drawstring waist doesn’t hurt either). I’m definitely keeping these in my September capsule as well. Also comes in white and black. I took the 25 petite which is my true size.

Sold Out NYC Not So Basic Tank // I know $90 is a pretty penny to spend on a tank top BUT the quality is there. It’s a substantial weight, too. I love this paired with denim and some sandals (see top photo). I took my true size XS.

Quince Cotton Modal Scoop Neck Tank // I wear a tank of some kind almost everyday in the summer, but I like to vary the style of my tanks to create slightly different proportions in an outfit. This one has a drapey fit and gives a more elevated vibe than a ribbed tank (for the record, I wear both) I own the Redwood Brown color.

Pistola High Rise Kyra Bowed Ankle Jean // Pistola sent over these jeans (I also have them in the brown color). They check all the boxes - high rise, petite-friendly inseam, relaxed fit. I took my true size, 25.
