I'm releasing a comedy album

My apologies for one post fewer this month, but a month where your Dad dies is not a normal one. Dad’s funeral was last Monday, June 22^rd, and was attended by over 120 people. He will remain a much loved presence and absence in our hearts for the rest of our lives. Thanks to everyone for their kind messages, both on the newsletter and elsewhere.

I do have some rather more positive news for you all, for I am releasing a comedy album.

On July 12, two weeks today, my album ‘The Palace of Earthly Delights’ will be released via this newsletter. It’s a 43-minute political comedy album, and is a recording of the political comedy show I toured England with from 2019 – 2022. It’s a satirical narrative, stuffed full of grotesquerie and impressions of varying quality, and all backed by an ambient soundtrack by AVzounds. In a four-star review, The Lancashire Evening Post described it as ‘a mix between your deepest imagination (and) a sci-fi film’. I tried, when writing and developing the hour, to have a pop at every single current of the British political class.

I’ll release it first for paying subscribers for six months and then it’ll be made available to everyone in spring 2026. I worked on this show for years; I’m really excited to finally get it out there.
