I joined Jennifer Welch of the “I’ve Had It” podcast for a wide-ranging conversation about the crisis unfolding in America — and what it will take to defeat it.
We talked about the humiliation of American power abroad, the rise of gangster capitalism at home, the failures of a Democratic establishment that too often seems incapable of understanding the urgency of the hour, and the corruption, secrecy and cowardice that have consumed the MAGA movement and the Republican party.
Most importantly, we talked about what comes next. Defeating MAGA requires something bigger than a political party. It requires a broad American coalition — left, right and center — united by a simple proposition: democracy, freedom and the rule of law are worth fighting for. We can argue about everything else after the danger has been defeated.
