I saw Spielberg’s Disclosure Day opening weekend and while I expected to be compelled by the movie and intellectually intrigued, I didn’t expect to be so emotionally moved. The culminating scenes in which video evidence for ET contact is shared globally proved to be remarkably moving. I actually shed tears.
That movie, more than anything I’ve seen in the contact space, made it clear how much public disclosure of extraterrestrial contact is going to change humanity’s view of ourselves and our role in a larger cosmic order.
The movie took disclosure out of something that was informational (we are not alone) to something transformational (our worldview will change for the better). In short, it brought home emotionally just how much this moment will mean for each and every human being living on earth. It is, more than anything, an opportunity for humanity to come back together. It is an opportunity for unity, wonder, and awe. It is even an opportunity to liberate human empathy and higher potentials.
The primary antagonist in the movie has to go through a real evolution from believing that knowledge of contact with ETs would be destabilizing to human society to allowing disclosure to happen with something approaching equanimity. I confess that I have sometimes shared the antagonist’s view and wondered, if I were in the ultra-classified seat, would I choose to delay disclosure until humanity showed sufficient maturity to handle it?
What the movie made me realize is that knowledge of extraterrestrial species and contact should not be controlled by the few. It’s the birthright of humanity to know. And instead of being prepared in advance, we will collectively evolve in response to the knowledge. Our readiness doesn’t happen in anticipation, it happens in the moment.
I thus want to share some of the evidence that has brought me to surety that not only do extraterrestrials exist but that they have been in contact with at least some of humanity for some time. Most of the evidence is indirect. My only personal direct experience of note was a time at Mount Shasta where I saw what I thought was a plane go into the cumulus cloud over the mountain and not appear on the other side. It was not dramatic, but it was not really explainable as a plane, either.
With that said, the indirect evidence I’ve witnessed or received has been extensive and compelling. Here’s a sampling. I’ll post these in order of people who have institutional and reputational risk from disclosing what they know, even while the later entries are often the most fascinating.
The founder of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, astronaut Edgar Mitchell, affirmed that ETs are real and that we have been in contact, the only astronaut to make such a claim. In 2008, he said, “I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet, and the UFO phenomenon is real.” Edgar was someone with unimpeachable integrity and his public statements on this matter came at a personal and professional cost.
A former high-level government official from the first Bush Administration, who I won’t name here, told me personally that they uncovered funds that were being siphoned out of the government budget they were entrusted with and after they investigated, it resulted in various hardships for them. Eventually, the head of a prominent DC institution took them for a walk and told them that the funds were directed to work with ETs and that he could take them to meet the aliens if they needed proof. They declined the invite.
I recently visited the Contact in the Desert conference, a gathering of 4000 people per year that is filled with fascinating speakers, some of whom have had top secret clearance and involvement in everything from reverse engineering alien technology to efforts to prepare for disclosure, most of which never went public. While many are constrained by security clearances, even the glimpses of what they know are fascinating. One of the most compelling for me was a physicist with high-level clearances talking in matter-of-fact ways about how difficult it has been, even when working with multiple top aeronautical firms, to reverse engineer recovered ET materials even while they can analyze their chemical composition. There are many speakers at that conference who have had high-level clearances and have worked on vast amounts of material that is not yet public.
My wife and I met with an early experiencer for six hours and received an incredibly compelling download about his multiple abduction experiences and his evolving understanding of exopolitics: how the various civilizations relate to each other and some of the rules of engagement for how they can relate to us. He told us that after speaking publicly for some years, he was taken in for a day of questioning by a government agency, shared everything he learned, and at the end of that day, they told him, “That pretty much aligns with everything we know.”
I know a physicist who has been developing next generation energy technology based on his experience as an abductee as a child where he was allowed to witness the hyperdrive that powered an ET craft, which led to insights into how energy could be sourced from the vacuum. So his experience has led to testable technology and new theories of physics.
I had a longer discussion with Jim Garrison, an innovative leader in the consciousness space who created the seminal State of the World forums that included major global leaders such as Mikhail Gorbachev. He is now focused full time on disclosure work and says that there are major things shifting at the high level politically. He anticipates full, public disclosure within the next few years. He’s been working with people like Chris Bledsoe, a highly credible experiencer who is able to summon “orbs” via prayerful intent. These orbs operate as a kind of dimensional bridge and Chris has invited high level people in Congress and the CIA to experience them in ways that compelling shifts their worldview. His book UFO of God is seminal.
We personally have a trustworthy friend who had an abduction experience that resulted in some sort of implanted device that shows up on x-rays.
I’ve spoken with a trusted Peruvian shaman about his direct experience of an alien craft, witnessed by himself and two friends at the same time. A second Peruvian shaman I know had a whole body of teachings and transformational work downloaded to him from “star family.” Such contact is more widely known and accepted in the Andes, and they have specific insights into which civilizations they are in contact with.
While on a trip to Egypt, we organized a circle on the deck of our Nile cruise boat to experiment with the CE5 protocol for calling in ETs, which was created by leader in disclosure Steven Greer. Several people in the group reported compelling experiences of psychic contact even while no obvious physical contact happened. That protocol has led to compelling group experiences all over the world
We have now launched a number of Shift courses that explore aspects of this terrain, from channeling light languages, some of which appear to source from ET civilizations to galactic telepathy (psychic communication with non-terrestrial intelligences) to a synthesis of Arcturian wisdom by an apparent ambassador from that civilization. The ambassador’s name is Viviane Chauvet and she talks about Arcturian perspectives in such grounded, compelling and sophisticated ways that I came away compelled from my three private and two public conversations trusting that she is the real deal.
I’ve had many discussions with people who are convinced that they are from other ET lineages and have incarnated here to be part of Earth’s ascension. They often have compelling memories and connections with others from their primary soul groups. It seems that as souls, we may focus primarily on one planet or choose to explore incarnations in multiple star lineages to broaden our knowledge base. According to these folks, different ET civilizations have developed different areas of mastery that are useful for us to understand now. One person named Adam Apollo has proved compelling to me. He considers himself something like a galactic historian who has active memory of quite a number of ET civilizations, the ecosystem of their home planets, their wisdom traditions, and their engagements with other star lineages.
I had one longer discussion with Neil Gaur, who created the company Portals to Ascension to explicitly feature and amplify those voices who are sharing ET wisdom and advancing the process of disclosure. Neil has featured hundreds of the leading teachers and voices. His interpretation of why contact is now accelerating was fascinating to me because it built from the testimony of dozens of people. It revolves around the time in which humanity started to use nuclear bombs, which apparently created a problem in the wider galaxy as nuclear detonations distort the fabric of time and space in ways that go beyond our planet and have warranted an intervention. He says that many souls from other civilizations have incarnated, since the 1940s, to gently nudge Earth away from a self-destructive path that also spreads ripples of harm elsewhere.
I can go on with many fascinating conversations with people who have had some sort of psychic or telepathic contact with extraterrestrial intelligence, but you get the picture for why, even though my direct experience is small, the indirect evidence has proved convincing to me personally.
And that is not even to chronicle what is publicly available, including the recent congressional testimony of Dave Grusch, one of the most recent breakthroughs in the disclosure process, who testified extensively to Congress.
What’s true is that compelling evidence for ETs has been released by foreign governments (unidentified aerial craft in Mexico filmed by their air force, for instance), discussed on television (claims on Fox News from CIA insider Hal Putoff that our government has biologics on at least four ET species), shared under oath in Congress (Air Force whistleblower Dave Grusch’s testimony), and chronicled meticulously in academia (such as John Mack’s experiencer work at Harvard that looked at thousands of abductee experiences). John Mack created Program for Extraordinary Experience Research that addressed these experiences with real rigor.
The end result of this gradual build up of information over time? In the most recent national CBS News poll on June 11 2026, 63% of Americans believe intelligent extraterrestrial life exists on other planets, 21% believe we already have been in contact and an additional 49% believe we will make contact in the future. 84% believe that the government knows more than it is telling. And more than twice as many say they would be curious to meet beings from other planets (67%) than would be fearful (31%). It’s a gradual sea change and the professional cost of curiosity continues to decline.
Spielberg’s movie thus comes at a particular moment in the cultural zeitgeist. Early movies like his early Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. opened our imagination. In the subsequent decades, the steady drip of disclosure facts has led to more people taking the evidence seriously. Our culture has been maturing into acceptance, and it seems there are also indications of a larger timing to intervene with Earth before we destroy the foundations of our planetary life support systems. It is common for experiencers to report being shown scenes of Earth’s ecological peril by ETs, which reinforces the idea that contact is happening to help us avoid undermining the foundations of life on this planet.
The reason I think that all of the information hasn’t led to official acceptance in high-level circles is because it does require major changes in our worldview, which can threaten our social standing and our credibility. It’s also plausible that insiders interested in using knowledge and technology associated with ETs to increase power or wealth do not want to disclose information in a way that reduces the competitive advantage of having it. As with the antagonist in Disclosure Day, there’s a motive to use insider information for power and control.
That’s why the full disclosure of incontrovertible, broadcast-worthy evidence of contact with ETs will be one of the most significant moments in human history. It will be a moment in which we can collectively shift our views without fear of losing social standing. I’m not sure how or when that may unfold but Disclosure Day makes that moment real in our imagination and prepares us for when it happens in outer reality.
As a result of full disclosure, our view of the cosmos will permanently change and our sense for what is possible will evolve. It’s clear that ET contact happens more with psychically open and unusually empathic humans, because telepathic contact and deep knowing appears to be essential. It’s a kind of human superpower that we need to cultivate. There are also indications that ETs are able to travel interdimensionally, popping into time and space rather than traveling laterally. Their technology appears to not emit waste in the same ways ours does. They appear to have harvested the energy of the vacuum for unlimited power. So contact holds the promise of addressing some of humanity’s most serious challenges.
Disclosure will mean that we start to see ourselves as one young species among potentially millions out there. It will open the door for us to mature more rapidly with the insights, technologies, and wisdom that sources from civilizations that are potentially billions of years older than we are. It will be a humbling and liberating moment that is significant for our spiritual growth and evolution as a species.
So how do we prepare?
First, I think we need to take it seriously that disclosure is en route to happening and be open to talk about our experiences. Watching Spielberg’s movie allows us to feel the dramatic power of that moment for humanity in a cinematic, immersive way and understand the implications. Even if you believe in ETs already, it’s important to watch and encourage others to watch as well.
Second, we need to take seriously the reported experiences of so many people, many of whom have been vilified or marginalized for their experiences. If you have personal experiences, even ones that are “smaller” like mine at Shasta, it’s time to share them as the cost of sharing is now lower. The more people we trust who share genuine experiences, the more likely that people open their minds.
Third, we need to advocate with our political representatives for disclosure from the government. It’s clear from the Contact in the Desert conference just how extensive the evidence is that has not yet been released. As the public pressure mounts, more will come out.
Fourth, we can explore opening channels of psychic communication ourselves. Contacting ETs seems to be not all that different from contacting loved ones on the other side, spirit guides, or other non-physical beings. For those who are already psychically open or are training to develop their skills, ETs appear to be able to communicate in this way. While discernment is important, an openness to explore can be healthy and lead to fascinating insights.
Fifth, it’s wise to trust the collective timing. While there are, I’m convinced, powerful forces that are delaying disclosure, they are in their sunset phase. The movement to disclose grows every year. More congressional representatives have been “read in.” More people know. The public appetite is growing. When humanity is truly ready, it will come. We don’t have to force it in a dramatic way but keep building steady momentum by taking the evidence seriously, preparing ourselves for the impact of that knowledge on our society, and addressing the subject calmly to alleviate collective fear.
So I sense we’re now entering the time in which we can open to this possibility and do the inner work to prepare for a very different future, one in which we understand ourselves as one young civilization among many elder civilizations. Let’s pray that we are humble enough to learn from ETs about how we can live peacefully, sustainably and creatively on this beautiful planet we’ve been given and become a contributing member of the galactic community. I believe it’s going to happen in our lifetimes, perhaps even in the next few years, and it’s going to change our future forever.
