Rogue but during my colonoscopy the nasal cannula shot a piece of dust or something so far into my nose that I sneezed non stop for like 48 hours. Honest to God, my abs were sore from sneezing. It was wild.

So this one will be controversial but I am using AI sparingly in my personal life and this is a great example I wanted to share, if you’re also using an AI platform.
Georgia loves Audibles. She falls asleep to them, listens to them while she’s doing chores and art and just generally crushes audio books. She listens to them on the (screen free) Echo speaker in room, which is connected to an Amazon kids account. I was playing her audibles from my phone/Amazon account onto her speak but finally figured out a much better way to do it.
If your kids have Amazon devices, you can allow them to access content from your Amazon parent account, including rented and owned Audible titles. It’s a little tricky to do but google and the instructions will pop right up.
Once I gave her access to all of our titles, I had Claude make her a “menu” of all of the books she can listen to at any time. I asked Claude to include very simple instructions on the menu so she could easily navigate the book titles (the exact titles are needed to play a book, which can be tricky for series like The Babysitters Club) and call out exactly what Alexa needs to hear in order to play what she wants.
She was so excited to learn what to say to perfectly pause her Audibles and her little menu is divided up by series so it’s easy for her to use. If you have a kiddo who either doesn’t love to read or likes to be independent, I cannot stress how amazing this method has been for us. She has read so, so many books this summer and giving her a way to be even more independent has been a slam dunk.
