Stephanie Nicholson · Olive and Tate by Stephanie Nicholson

  • Being bare faced

  • Using my own code to restock this (oliveandtate20) because full price is wild

  • These for Justin’s birthday, which naturally falls within days of Father’s Day

  • Speaking of, this for Captain with a snap from Spring Break

  • Shirley Temple Poppi

  • Indoor/Outdoor

  • The Tony’s opening number. We’re gonna see P!nk on Broadway ASAP.

  • Skinny stem discourse

  • All of the World Cup international team and staff reactions to the American weather. It just tickles me to no end as a Southerner

  • This, the most forgiving cut of Summer

  • The supportive girl vibes on Love Island. Also, shout out to Bea for being such a queen. And the girlie who corrected the guy who said “it’s clear we all work out”. She straight up said “not me” and that will remain the only relatable moment for me this season.

  • Using these for smoothies. Anything to get the fruits and hydration into my picky eaters. Also, both kids can use this on their own, which is just perfect for me in my Summer Mom era.

  • Summer whites

  • Georgie’s pick of swim

  • My new chin whiskers. Like what the actual eff.

  • Being late on camp paperwork every single year. I literally pay the pediatrician a rush fee every year, so stupid.

  • The fact that Polar Express tickets went on sale last week (?!) This is why parents are so overwhelmed, we can’t even let school get out for Summer before we need to book the holidays.

  • Shaving. Honestly, any hair removal method. I need to just get laser hair remover because I loathe it so much.

  • Being anemic, apparently.

  • The scent of this

  • Watching/hearing people kiss on tv.

  • Still not having my ears pierced after having my piercing repaired 6 months ago. We had to do some scar revision to make sure it healed as flat as possible which has delayed the process.

  • Choosing in store pick up instead of delivery. I am never as willing to drive across town to fetch something as I think I’ll be when the time comes.

I might have gotten myself a little treat.

Justin and I typically try to take advantage of our child free sleepaway camp days and take a little trip just the two of us, but this year I called an audible.

The morning after camp drop off, a dumpster will be delivered to my driveway and I have given myself permission to go absolutely HAM on my house.

Nothing is safe.

No random stuffed animal (can’t be donated due to potential germs), old stained and ripped rugs, broken kid toys, whatever the hell is in our storage shed, cheap furniture that served it’s purpose but was trashed in the playroom days, some random things in the attic that we inherited from past owners, my completely rotted outdoor dining table that seats six, the broken soccer goal that made it one single summer and anything else that isn’t nailed down is going in the dumpster.

It is going to be so freeing. I honestly think I’ll be a new woman by the end of it all.

A whole dumpster, just for me. What more could a girl want?
