Six moves. One kettlebell. Zero wasted time.
This workout strings together an offset squat, front-rack lateral squat, overhead reverse lunge, thruster, snatch, and windmill into a flowing 30-second-per-move sequence that hits your whole body while quietly exposing exactly where your core stability breaks down. Spoiler: it’s usually the overhead work.
This isn’t about lifting heavy. It’s about training the stabilizers we lose access to as we age — the ones that keep us upright, balanced, and injury-free when life (or a barbell) asks something unexpected of us. One side at a time, one honest rep at a time.
Grab a single dumbbell or kettlebell — light if you’re newer to this, 15-20 lbs if you’ve got some mileage — and see how your core holds up.
Discomfort is the doorway. Staying is the practice.
