Meat production in June

Meat production in June 2026 was 1,995 tonnes, which is 17% more than in June 2025. Poultry production increased by 15% compared with June last year, pork production increased by 13% and beef production by 27%.

Meat production in May

Meat production in May 2026 was 1,657 tonnes, which is 8% less than in May 2025. Poultry production decreased by 9% compared to May last year, pork production by 5% and beef production decreased by 6%.

Production value of agriculture is estimated at 100 billion ISK in 2025

It is estimated that the total production value of the agricultural industry in 2025 will amount to 100 billion ISK, an increase of 7% from 2024. It is estimated that 64% of the production value fall into animal husbandry and 27% to the crop productions.

Meat production in April

Meat production in April 2026 was 1,616 tonnes, which is 7% less than in April 2025. Poultry production increased by 5% compared with April last year and beef production by 6% while pork production decreased by 32%.

Meat production in March 2026 was 1,874 tonnes, which is 1% more than in March 2025. Pork production decreased by 15% year-on-year, while poultry production increased by 10% and beef production increased by 11%.

Meat production in February

Meat production in February 2026 was 1,831 tonnes, 2% more than in February 2025. Pork production decreased by 6% compared to February last year, poultry production increased by 8%, and beef production increased by 7%.

Meat production increased by 8% in January

Meat production in January 2026 was 1,943 tonnes, 8% less than in January 2025. Poultry meat production decreased by 1% compared with January last year, pork production by 6%, and beef production decreased by 15%.

Meat production in December 9% more than a year ago

Meat production in December 2025 was 1,901 tonnes, 9% more than in December 2024. Poultry production increased by 12% and beef procuction increased by 5%, while pork production decreased by 3%.

Meat production increased by 1% in November

Meat production in November 2025 was 2,066 tonnes, 1% more than in November 2024. Poultry production increased by 3% and pork production by 1%, while beef production decreased by 1%.

Meat production in October same as last year

Meat production in October 2025 was 6,441 tonnes, same amount as in October last year. Production of sheep meat was 1% more than last year, beef production 6% less and production of poultry 1% less. Pork production was however 7% more than in October 2024. Sheep production data are preliminary.
