I have been subscribed to the Collé newsletter for a while now and I love diving into to each one. When I saw these vibrant colors and the Baldessari style collage I couldn’t resist showcasing it in my own newsletter. Love love the sharp edges, cut-n-paste style, and type mixed in as well.

I originally came across this book through an Instagram post by Istanbul Edits, a vintage bookstore you can find online here, and it beautifully highlights fans along with their history, materials, and craftsmanship as works of art.
I have a variety of fans collected through my travels and as gifts, but none of them compare to the beauty of these. They are so delicate and gorgeous, and all of the artistic details are incredibly inspiring.
I’d love to expand my collection and find a way to display them. They’re so beautiful! I also grabbed a used copy of this book and am so excited for it to come in.

Okay, if you’ve been around for a while, you know how much I love Szilveszter Mako’s work. Such a vision.
I started following meelzonart on Instagram recently. She teaches art history at Columbia, so I love seeing the connections she makes between historical artworks and current pop culture and campaigns, and this is no exception.
She posted close-ups and comparisons from this recent campaign, and it is all so gorgeous. I’ve listed the painting references below for you to check out, but I especially love how these references are laid out for us to peruse.
