The purpose of this missive is to make sure you don’t waste another minute of your life in confusion and inaction.
“The need for certainty is the greatest disease the mind faces.”
Sometimes this false need is deeply emotional. It’s about doubt, fear, anger, hate, shame, guilt, bitterness, disillusionment. It goes all the way to the reptilian brane.
That’s bad.
Other times that false need is entirely about our habits of thinking. It has no emotional basis and content, but is instead an artifact of our narrative routines. It’s a reflex and pattern of thinking as pure and simple as it can be.
We think and act out of the implicit assumption that we need to have it figured out every single step to the end before we do anything.
We instinctively go into trying to have it figured out mentally instead of actually figuring it out on contact with and feedback from action and experience.
Having an endgame is big. Planning all the way to the end is incredibly powerful.
