Urban Sketch Club is meant to be a free and easy way to Urban Sketch without any limitations or rules - solo or part of a group, on location or from photos. And not necessarily in exotic locations - down your street is fine, and more interesting than we often give it credit. Because buildings don’t happen by accident.
Above are the principals of Urban Sketch Club - I call them rules probably to highlight the fact that there aren’t really any rules.
The easiest way of joining the club is just to use the hashtag #urbansketchclub on Social Media.
Free Subscribers to Substack are automatically members and get updates, tips and thoughts about Urban Sketching.
Paid Subscribers get access to the 13 point sketching process and the 30 card aide memoire for learning the process and then for sketching. I will be releasing these over the coming weeks.

This Substack is intended to expand upon the ideas of Urban Sketch Club, the principals and to provide examples and inspiration.
It’s all about getting your thoughts and feelings out onto paper without too many rules to follow - this is sketching - not drawing.
