Mo' Kaypro

Here is a batch of Kaypro appearances. The Robie appears in another episode of Miami Vice and the first season of Moonlighting , there's a Kaypro II in Garbo Talks! and a season 4 episode of Stranger Things has the first Starring-the-Computer appearance of a Kaypro 2000 (or part of one, at least).

Mostly Zenith

There's a Zenith Z-181 in an episode of Hunter , Switch has a Zenith EaZy pc , Ghost Dad has a Zenith Supersport and The Hit List has a Zenith Z150 and the AT&T Safari NSX/20 makes its debut appearance.

80s and 90s PCs

First off, an OG IBM PC AT makes an appearance in Mona Lisa . All the remaining desktop machines are making their Starring-the-Computer debut. There's a Tandy 1200 HD in A View to a Kill , a NEC Powermate 2 in Taking Care of Business , and Deep Impact has a role for a Compaq Presario 9546 (as well as an incidental Apple Powerbook 5300 ).

More Portables

Here's another collection of laptops and portables. Justice has two machines making their Starring-the-Computer debut: the Dell Latitude D5X0 and the Nokia N900 . Sabotage has another debutante, the Texas Instruments Extensa 450 (and a Apple G3 desktop ). Then there are two TV appearances: a Toshiba Libretto 50CT/70CT in an episode of Earth: Final Conflict and an Osborne 1 in an episode of Rumpole…

British Machines on TV

Here are some British computers appearing on British TV. An episode of Dodger, Bonzo & the Rest has two Amstrads: a CPC 464 and a CPC 6128 . Making Out has another Amstrad with a PC 1512 appearing in some scenes. An episode of Maths Counts has a crucial role for an Acorn BBC Micro and another Acorn machine, the rather rare Communicator , makes its debut appearance in an episode of Bugs .

AT&T Party

Here are four appearances of AT&T machines. There is a PC 6300 in Coming to America and Alien Nation and the PC 7300 appears in UHF and the "Miami Vice" episode Definitely Miami .

A Few PS/2s

Here are four films featuring either a IBM PS/2 Model 50 or IBM PS/2 Model 30 or similar: Internal Affairs , Le denier du colt , Out on a Limb and Mind Ripper .

More Mainframes

Here are some mainframes that we have seen before and some that are new to the site. Rambo: First Blood Part II has the familiar GE 635 and the "Doctor Who" story The Ambassadors of Death features the ICT 1201 and LEO II . Then we have an Italian film and a Spanish one, both with computers making their debut appearance: the Sperry UNIVAC 1107 in Yeti - Il gigante del 20° secolo and the Fujitsu…

A Trio of Minicomputers

Here are three more minicomputer appearances. The Blues Brothers sees the Harris H100 make its Starring-the-Computer debut, and then we have a couple of DEC VAX machines appearing in TV episodes. The "Just Shoot Me!" episode When Nina Met Her Parents has a DEC VAX 11/780 , and the DEC VAX 6000 makes its first appearance in the "Young Sheldon" episode Ruthless, Toothless and a Week of Bed Rest .

April Apples 2026

All of the following feature at least one Apple computer from the Apple III to the Macbook Pro : Tron: Ares , Pitch Perfect , Are We There Yet? , Goodbye World , Upstream Colour , Trust the Man , Class of 1999 II: The Substitute , Village of the Damned , Martyrs and an episode of Death in Paradise .
