Happy New Year to you and yours!
I hope the first 35 or so hours of your 2024 have exceeded all of your wildest hopes, dreams, vision boards and manifestations. I can say in full confidence that tonight’s scheduled finale of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City will certainly exceed all of my wildest hopes and dreams for the medium of reality television. Online chatter has been steadily building around tonight’s finale with the expectation that it will become somewhat of a Super Bowl level event for Bravo fans and the entire Housewives cinematic universe. It’s textbook must-see TV.
Later tonight, I will be hosting a few friends for a watch party. We’ll be ordering in Mediterranean food in honor of Angie Katsanevas, who expertly evaded rumors that her husband is gay and that she’s involved in the Greek Mafia this season, completing her first season as a main cast member. Since a few of my friends are newcomers to the show, I made an insight recap deck (in true ex-Googler fashion…) to get everyone up to speed on the show’s emotional landscape. Since Salt Lake City, in my humble opinion, is one of the best microcosms of contemporary American culture, I thought I would make the deck publicly available here for anyone that wants to feel fully briefed ahead of tonight’s landmark event. It goes without saying… spoilers ahead!
