STAR Homeschool Update 5/27/26

Teach Them Diligently is over, Mother’s Day came and went, our co-op’s used curriculum sale is done, and now I’ve got a lot to do right here on the STAR site! Hooray!

First, yesterday I recorded my speech from TTD 2026: Homeschooling a Child Who Fights It. You can find the video on Youtube here:

Just for fun, I’m making some videos and reels and posting them on Instagram and Facebook. For example, I am organizing my homeschool library this week, and I wanted to show you the “before” in this video:

If you haven’t checked out the STAR Homeschool reading plans yet, you can do that either by subscribing to this Substack as a paid subscriber, or by purchasing the physical or digital reading plans for the cycle you choose at the STAR Homeschool Store. The STAR reading plans are Charlotte Mason-style and created for whole-family learning and peaceful school days.

I’m currently creating a “Hundred Acre Woods” class for pre-K-K for our homeschool co-op next Fall. When I’m finished planning, I will write a post about it here and share what I’ve decided to do for that class.

Also, our family is planing an epic cross-country road trip this summer! We are seasoned road-trippers & this will be our third cross-country vacation. (We also drove one-way in 2020 and moved from OR to VA, but that was in January, and we were in a big hurry to get to our new HOME). :) I’ll keep you guys updated here as I plan our road trip, and after we hit the road. I can’t wait!
