After six weeks of travel (London, Italy, Poland, New York, California) with carry on luggage and a TSA compliant cosmetics bag, I’ve nailed the essentials for a germaphobe beauty addict on the go.

Welcome back to my Hollywood Elite Wellness Guide™️ series. In case you missed previous posts you can catch up here:

Part One of my wellness / beauty guide aka what I do/spend money on and absolutely think makes a noticeable difference.

Part Two: Hollywood Elite Wellness Guide

Skincare products, supplements, exercise tips, and tech wellness gear that I was convinced to buy (and now SWEAR by) from friends who travel with chefs and get regular IV drips from private nurses. Plus advice from aestheticians and supermodels who are sent every new gadget / cream to try. So they know what’s up.

This edition of Hollywood Elite Wellness Guide™️ focuses on the Japanese beauty and bathing rituals I’ve culled from many years of working there.

The following are items I have personally bought and use. Some of them have affiliate links. I don’t believe in schilling to others what I wouldn’t spend money on myself. Tried, tested and true is my motto. And now, without further ado—

Here are my top picks for a germaphobe beauty addict on the go:

  1. Lavender pocket size disinfecting wipes. If you are an avid STARF⭐️CKER reader, you know I am a GRADE A+ germophobe, who cannot get on a plane without wiping down every possible surface. Non-toxic ones are best. In addition to the lavender wipes, these DoraHoney ones are amazing an come in a mini size, but they tend to sell out fast as they are a favorite for moms of toddlers, known to pick up every possible germ.

  2. Marissa Zappas travel size perfume. I am obsessed with perfumer Marissa Zappas and her quirky, original scents. I’ve already gone through a large bottle of Queen Nzinga and have her latest scent, Marshmallow Muff on my vanity ready to liberally spritz. She makes a discovery set that comes with 11 tester sizes so you can experiment before committing to one. I’ve never received so many compliments as when I am rocking her fragrances. THANK THE LORD that she makes travel size vials to fit in your TSA bag.

    3. Neosporin in your nose! My mom used this hack on me as a kid when traveling as a family back and forth on long haul flights from Los Angeles to London for my dad’s work. A small layer of Neosporin applied to the inside of your nostrils helps keep germs at bay. I recently sat next to my friend, fellow germophobe Darya Khonsary of Darius Jewelry on a plane and she was doing the same.

I go high /low— Neosporin and a Darius emerald and gold ring, darling
  3. A hoodie, preferably one no one else on the plane has. I like to keep my head covered so no part of my body including my hair touches any part of the seat—it also helps
