cinemacon saw an exclusive first look at grand gear, directed by takashi yamakazi. the first look involved an epic battle between two giant mechanical being. it’s expected to release in 2028.

• blood borne

animated feature announcement. bloodborne, the video game, is getting an r-rated animated movie. sony is adapting it with jacksepticeye producing. it’s set to be very true to the spirit of the video game which follows a traveler who journeys into a gothic city full of nightmarish creatures.

jason momoa was announced as the star of helldivers, directed by justin lin. it’s based on the popular game by the same name, revolving around soldiers under attack from alien creatures on a planet named super earth.

• the breadwinner

cinemacon saw the first look introduced by nate bargatze and mandy moore. the breadwinner is a comedy about a man who becomes a stay-at-home dad when a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity takes his wife on a business trip. with three young daughters and little experience handling them day-to-day, he soon realises that running a household is the toughest gig he’s ever had.

a trailer was shown, with austin abrams, the star of the movie, in a messed up situation. he is informing his girlfriend over the phone that they may never get to speak again. the cast also includes zach cherry, kali reis, paul water hauser.

• insidious: out of the further

the new insidious trailer debuted at cinemacon. it’s an upcoming supernatural horror film written and directed by jacob chase. it serves as a sequel to insidious: the red door and is the sixth installment in the franchise. the trailer debut was reportedly terrifying, and is now available on youtube.

exclusive first look with the cast - cinemacon witnessed the first 7 minutes of the movie.

introduced by denis villeneuve, timothee chalamet, zendaya, and jason momoa, it was announced that the story takes place 17 years after the previous film. it’s reportedly a redemption story - an action packed thriller made for the fans.

the paramount presentation started with a show-stopping reel directed by jon m chu - a love letter to film. it starred the creative community of filmmakers and actors that call paramount home.

the cast reunited at cinemacon to unveil the trailer. it showed an exclusive clip of scrat and his son trying to bury his acorn.

• shaun the sheep: the beast of the mossy bottom

an exclusive clip was presented to the crowd at cinemacon and showed shawn and other residents of mossy bottom anxiously look upon a hill to see a big hairy beast coming over the horizon. panicked, the animals flee into their home and barricade themselves in, resorting to comical ways of hiding their presence.

studio canal reimagines the classic horror movie the howling, a 1981 werewolf movie directed and edited by joe dante. it follows a news anchor who, following a traumatic encounter with a serial killer, visits a resort secretly populated by werewolves.

• ice cream man

eli roth’s newest horror movie was shown at the presentation. it takes place in an idyllic summer town that descends into madness when an ice cream man serves kids ice cream.

• escape from new york

a remake of john carpenter’s cult classic is currently in development. the original film starred kurt russell as snake plissken, a prisoner who will be granted a pardon if he can rescue the president from a group of insurgents.

• cliffhanger

a remake of the 1993 sylvester stallone action movie is in development. the film stars lily james as naomi cooper, an experienced mountaineer who runs a luxury chalet in the dolomites. while staying with her father ray (pierce brosnan), naomi joins her sister sydney (nell tiger free) for a weekend excursion with the son of a billionaire. when the group is ambushed by a gang of kidnappers, naomi witnesses the attack and narrowly escapes. forced into hiding, she must summon her courage to save Sydney and her father before it is too late.

• everybody wants to fuck me

a comedy thrliler set in the world of modern dating and starring taron egerton - the movie tells the story of a man who actualises a dream that every woman in the world wants to have sex with him. exclusive footage was shown at cinemacon.

28 days later filmmaker presented this film at cinemacon, which chronicles the true story of the controversial newspaper the sun. the first few minutes were presented, showing black pixels on a white screen slowly increasing in number to eventually present a full look at the characters in discussion over dinner.
