In the void

I work out daily.

5am.
100 kettlebell swings (70lbs).
60 pushups.
50 pull-ups.
Split between 6 sets.

It’s usually 40mins right out of bed into the basement
(going to the gym has too many extra variables to consider)

Nerd moment: Regmine is highly inspired by OPM.

I don’t do it to stay in shape.
But it’s a byproduct.

I do it to write.

When your body is under the most stress.
The mind gets crystal clear.

Specifically free-writing on my whiteboard between sets.
It’s amazing what you write in 60 seconds while trying to catch your breath.

Then, I stare at it while going through the sets.

I like to write about things I procrastinate on.
During the workout, anything feels easier in comparison.

It’s amazing what goes through your mind under physical stress.
It becomes a void.

Whatever I write on the board seems less of a procrastination.
More of a “why isn’t this done again?”
Magically, I plow through to-do lists for the next 3 hours.

Before the next wave of procrastination kicks in.
