Getting up before everyone else has been one of the biggest life-hacks.
I go through cycles where I get up early with no problem.
It’s easiest in the summer months.
I set the alarm for 5am and get up at 5am.
In the winter, I set it to 5am and get up at 8am.
It’s beyond hard to leave a warm bed…
My day now revolves around the extra hours in the morning.
I can squeeze two weeks of work into one week with this routine.
It’s now critical to get up early now that I’m officially a morning person.
I made two major changes
- Set my alarm for 4am
- Set my furnace to crank up to 80 degrees (vs 68) at 4am
By 5am I forget it’s winter and the bed is too warm…
Now I get up at 5am and forget it’s winter.
Think of it this way: create the environment you need to succeed.
