A CEO replied to one of my newsletters on the dangers of over-utilisation in slasher films, saying that I hadn’t given the reader any guidance on what to do instead of measuring activity.

In the category of bureaucracy gone mad, when I worked at a payment card company, we had to perform Know Your Customer checks to see if any users were Russian oligarchs or convicted felons or otherwise slippery folk.
