1) Vincent Van Gogh’s sister-in-law Jo who inherited his (then) totally worthless paintings who then spun up the hype around him that still exists today (hello bad ass women of history!) plus—

Jo’s going on an epic tour the rest of the month. Definitely catch her in person if you can, she is an absolute RIOT. She’ll also be back in our neck of the woods just in time for the first ever Catskills Book Festival, Saturday, August 8th at West Kill Brewing… more deets coming soon!
I’m sooo excited to be heading back to Books Are Magic for this chat with Artist Resident Jessica Goldstein! If I didn’t already know her from her Residency at the Inn, I would still be a fan girling her because of her hilarious Vulture TV recaps of Emily in Paris, White Lotus, and Hacks.
And still on the book front: I’ve got a few more events for THE FOUNTAIN coming up the second half of summer, too so stay tuned… Catskills Book Festival Aug 8th, Kinderhook on Aug 29th, Spencertown on Aug 5th, and more!
Only date that’s spoken for is Aug 28th-30th when we’re hosting a yoga and writing retreat called BEYOND THE NOISE, and even then, they’ve got 2 spots left!
Like, maybe you can’t swing both nights. Or you’d rather come Sat/Sun instead of Fri/Sat. Or you wanna come with your kids but aren’t sure if it’s allowed. (It is!) Whatever it is… JUST ASK!
