Ryan J. Dennis is an award-winning journalist and producer from Philadelphia with a dynamic career spanning broadcast news, digital media, and content strategy.

Most recently, Dennis played a key role in launching Atlanta’s first owned and operated CBS affiliate, where he continues to contribute feature stories on air, and manages daily crew operations.

Dennis earned both a Southeast Emmy Award and a Telly Award for producing Upfront Gwinnett: Fighting Fentanyl, a four-part docuseries exploring how families and officials are responding to the growing fentanyl crisis. In 2024, he also served as the face of “Ryan The Transit Guy,” a public information campaign educating Gwinnett County residents on transit options tied to a proposed referendum. The campaign earned a 3CMA Savvy Award, recognizing excellence in government communications nationwide.

Previously, Dennis joined 11Alive in Atlanta as a breaking news producer and assignment editor before transitioning into an on-air role as an entertainment reporter and producer for The A-Scene, the station’s Emmy and Edward R. Murrow Award-winning franchise. There, he delivered exclusive, behind-the-scenes coverage of Georgia’s rapidly growing entertainment industry.

Alongside Francesca Amiker, Dennis covered major events including the 2019 Super Bowl, the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards, and the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios.

In 2021, Dennis helped launch REVOLT Studios as a news content manager, shaping storytelling and news gathering for unscripted programming through a hip-hop lens.

Dennis began his career at FOX 29 in Philadelphia as a production assistant and assignment editor after interning in 2009. By 2013, he was named web producer for FOX29.com, where he managed breaking news and digital programming.

During that time, he also worked as an Interactive Content Producer with Skai Blue Media, helping small businesses and lifestyle brands grow through strategic content creation and digital storytelling.

Dennis studied Broadcast Journalism and Digital Media at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Lori Ward is a Toronto-based investigative journalist with over two decades of experience producing stories across digital, radio, television, and podcast platforms. Renowned for her meticulous research, compelling storytelling, and unwavering commitment to public interest journalism, she has earned national recognition on both sides of the border.

Lori has worked with major media organizations in Canada and the United States, breaking impactful stories and holding institutions to account. Her investigations have led to significant policy changes, notably from exposés on sexual assault on university campuses and within youth sports organizations. She has also used her extensive background in sports to work on major live sporting events, including both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

A 2019 Michener Award finalist—Canada’s highest honor for public service journalism—Lori is also a two-time Canadian Screen Award finalist and two-time RTDNA winner.

She is now the founder and lead investigative journalist of Broken Ice, an independent publication covering accountability in sport.

Ian Powers spent 20 years in sports newsrooms, a career that included national awards and a run as Sunday Sports Editor at the New York Daily News, before building his own corner of the sports media world. He’s the editor at Newsday, the founder of Write Sports (a newsletter and consulting platform for sports journalists building independent businesses), and the creator of The Sunday Back Page, a weekly curated sports read on Substack. He knows what good sports writing looks like. He’s judged it his whole career.

As the founder of “Grind Time” Drect launched the careers of many actors, rappers and online personalities, while reaching over 124 million views on YouTube. In 2012 he established rapgrid.com as an urban media powerhouse and hub for pay per view events. He now acts as a digital branding specialist and consultant for some of the biggest names and companies in entertainment while running the Don’t Quote Me podcast to the tune of 80 Million views over the last 3 years.

Adam Steinmetz writes about the Toronto Blue Jays for SI.com. Adam is also the editor and publisher of the Boston Sunday Sports Section, a weekly digital publication covering the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins. A two-time winner of the Best Collegiate Sports Writer award in Philadelphia, he began his career with freelance work for The Philadelphia Daily News and The Palm Beach Post before building a successful career outside of journalism.

He returned to sports writing last year, contributing to Pitcher List — including coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays — before launching Authorenticity on Substack, where he explores the human stories inside the game of baseball. The Boston Sunday Sports Section is his most ambitious project — a curated weekly read for the thinking Boston sports fan, featuring original analysis, hand-picked reads and listens, and a Long Game section highlighting the best long-form Boston sports writing of the week.
