Since mid-November, 23,000 words from the forthcoming book Spectacular Failure have been published here on Substack. Twenty-two missives now represent roughly a quarter of the completed manuscript.
The pre-release was never meant to exist as a standalone series. The full work builds cumulatively on the themes, voice, and formal structure introduced here.
The manuscript is now being finalized, and conversations are beginning around publication.
I’m also collaborating with the brilliant and cranky Mr. Fish (Substack, Patreon, Clowncrack) on illustrations that will accompany the project.
The currently published missives will remain available here for the foreseeable future.
