TEDxSugar Hill is looking for speakers for its July 30, 2027 event!
This year’s theme, “Constellations,” explores how seemingly separate insights, experiences, and people connect to form something larger.

The theme is built around the idea that no single point of light creates a constellation by itself.
TEDxSugar Hill wants to explore the visible and invisible connections among individual insights, innovation, lived experience, culture, technology, and community.
The organizers describe Sugar Hill as a growing community filled with researchers, artists, civic builders, and neighbors carrying distinct pieces of knowledge. This event will connect those perspectives to help audiences understand where the community has been, where it stands, and where it could go next.
This opportunity appears best suited for people with an original idea connected to Sugar Hill or the surrounding region.
This is a community-rooted event. If you are not from Sugar Hill itself, your application should establish a meaningful connection between your idea and the region or explain why the insight would matter to this particular audience.
TEDxSugar Hill is looking for:
Original ideas rather than purely inspirational stories
Locally grounded insights with broader relevance
Perspectives capable of connecting different disciplines or experiences
Ideas related to technology, human experience, culture, or community
Speakers who can contribute to a cohesive eight-talk program
TEDxSugar Hill is produced by the Georgia First Generation Foundation, a Georgia nonprofit focused on expanding access and opportunity.
The event is led by licensee and curator Charbel Aoun, the foundation’s founding executive director. His background spans healthcare finance, higher education, nonprofit leadership, and initiatives supporting first-generation students.
The organizing team describes TEDxSugar Hill as a community-rooted experience designed to elevate local ideas while connecting them to larger conversations.
Speaker applications must be submitted through the official online form by August 31, 2026.

Big Idea in one sentence - Why is it important, interesting, and unique? What aren’t people already hearing?
The 2027 theme is Constellations. How does your talk explore or showcase connection, pattern, or shared direction?
What categories best fit your idea?
Idea Summary - What’s the narrative arc of your talk? What is the takeaway? Walk us through the structure and key evidence or reasoning that supports it.
Reaction - How do you want the audience to feel, think, or act differently after your talk?
Personal Background - What in your background connects you to this topic? Credentials are welcome, but not always required.
Why You? Why are you the ideal person to give this talk at TEDxSugar Hill?
