TEDxNewHaven is returning March 2027 (Updated event date**)
You can nominate someone else, or nominate yourself, for the opportunity to share an idea around this year’s theme, “Questions That Need Answers.”

The organizers are searching for ideas that help address important unanswered questions.
They are especially interested in ideas that are:
Fresh and thoughtfully developed
Rooted in credible experience, knowledge, or evidence
Capable of shifting how people understand an issue
Relevant beyond the speaker’s personal story
The application announcement does not prescribe a specific subject area. Instead, TEDxNewHaven is inviting perspectives from across disciplines.
TEDxNewHaven specifically welcomes nominations from:
Artists
Scientists
Organizers
Entrepreneurs
Educators
Everyday people with extraordinary insights
You may nominate another person or submit a self-nomination.
This could be a particularly interesting opportunity for someone whose idea begins with a consequential question that is being overlooked, misunderstood, or answered inadequately.
Applicants should be prepared to participate in person in New Haven in March 2027.
TEDxNewHaven returned in 2025 after a three-year pause.
The organizing team describes its work as rooted in the New Haven community and guided by equity, innovation, dignity, and human potential. Its 2025 event brought speakers and community members together at the Flint Street Theater to explore “The Greatest Issues of Our Time.”
This year’s open-ended theme gives the team room to curate ideas from many different fields while maintaining a clear focus on questions that matter.
