A Quick Update on Two UK TEDx Speaker Applications

A little UK stage housekeeping today. One application deadline has been extended, while another closed earlier than expected.

Good news if TEDxUEA was on your list and you missed the original July 31 deadline.

The team has extended the speaker application deadline to August 31, 2026.

TEDxUEA is returning to the University of East Anglia in Norwich this November. You now have a few more weeks to develop your idea and submit your application.

TEDxKingstonUponThames had listed an August 7 deadline, but the application form closed a few days early.

I reached out to the curation team to ask whether the form would reopen, but I haven’t heard back yet. As of now, applications cannot be submitted.

I’ll share another update if the team responds or reopens the form. For now, I would not spend time preparing an application unless you already submitted yours.

I know early closures are frustrating, especially when you planned around a published deadline. This is also why I recommend opening an application form as soon as you find a promising opportunity, even if you plan to finish it later (to make sure they didn’t hit their submission cap early!)
