What Is a Head Spa and Should You Go to One?

Maybe it’s just my algorithm (which is obviously a little spa-biased!), but over the last year, I kept seeing posts about head spas, accompanied by videos of that kind of look like souped up wash stations at a hair salon. I try to steer clear of purely influencer-fueled viral trends, but my curiosity got the best of me when I started seeing things about scalp analysis and personalized treatments. Because I’ll be honest: 1) I love a good scalp massage—I adore an elaborate shampoo before a haircut and if a massage has a scalp component, I always go for it—and 2) My scalp is dry. I have eczema, and sometimes it affects my scalp, leaving it itchy and flaky.

The truth is, I spend plenty of money and time maintaining my skin and hair, but I had never focused on my scalp—which is of course part of my skin! Can you relate?
