Every spring, the city lights up with energy during design week—a time when creatives from all over come together to celebrate artistry, innovation, and design. For me, it’s one of the most exciting times of the year. NY Design Week, more like a month, runs from May 13th to the 20th, and showcases the best talent in the art and design world. Art fairs are some of my favorite spaces to get inspired, fill my cup, and let’s be honest, people-watch. This time around marks my fourth year during Design Week, and I feel as if I’ve got a good groove for how this works. Below, find my guide to exhibtions, events, and openings you must add to your list this week!!

Lets begin with fairs :)

Two design fairs I never miss? TEFAF and FRIEZE. These fairs are always bursting with inspiration—each one filled with stunning pieces, fresh perspectives, and conversations that stay with you long after the booths are packed up.

This year is so much more special since I will be attending as press! To be able to preview the space and share it with you all at this capacity is something I could’ve only dreamt of, so THANK YOU for being here :) TEFAF New York brings together exceptional galleries and dealers showcasing modern and contemporary art, design, and antiquities from Europe and I can’t wait to see what this editions brings.

This year’s ICFF Look book section—which focuses on independent designers— of the fair has been curated by my friends Julia and Leo from The Design Release.
