A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to celebrate the unveiling of the newest addition to the Rivian color family: Borealis.

During Art Week at Collins Park in Miami Beach, Rivian presented Rewilding the Future, a fully immersive and multisensory experience that invited guests to engage through sight, scent, and touch. The installation was a powerful expression of Rivian’s design ethos: bold, thoughtful, and deeply rooted in intention. It was the perfect setting to experience just how design-forward the brand truly is.

Alongside Borealis, Rivian also introduced the Miami Edition, a special vehicle inspired by the city’s unmistakable energy. Designed to feel as inviting and joyful as Miami itself, the car features a vibrant teal and pink palette—an undeniable nod to 1980s pop culture and the city’s iconic aesthetic.

And now, let’s talk about the experience.

During Art Week, we also explored Art Basel and Design Miami, both just steps away. At Collins Park, Rivian’s exhibition stood out—not only for its visual impact, but for showcasing a new custom scent the brand has been developing.

I also had the chance to attend insightful panels, moderated by Emma Apple Chozick, creator of gr8 collab, where she delved deeper into the design thinking and creative process behind the new scent and the team’s experience while working on it, which, in my opinion, made the evening more meaningful.

I had the chance to chat with the team about the entire activation and learned more about the color progression within the Rivian family. It was truly insightful to hear how each color speaks to the brand’s ethos while still honoring Rivian’s adventurous spirit. Learning just how technology-driven the brand is, and how they’re constantly looking for ways to improve, was incredibly exciting. I can’t express how cool it was to be immersed in the space.

Below you can find some highlights from Art Basel and Design Miami, each fair really showcased unique and selective pieces this time, really embracing the vibrant city of Miami really is.

We also attended the NYLON House party, where we had the chance to see Borealis in all her glory. It was an incredible way to close out Miami Art Week. A special thank-you to the Rivian team for creating such a thoughtful, welcoming, and memorable Art Week experience.

Coming right up, a deep dive into Design Miami and my Art Basel Highlights before the year ends!
