Coming Soon to Space Junk… RE Watch!

Man, what a week! Game Junk hit 1000 subscribers on YouTube and Space Junk hit 100 subscribers on Substack! You are all beautiful, wonderful people. Rest assured, we are not in any hurry to flip that monetization switch.

I am also writing this from the hospital as I attempt to pass a kidney stone. Like I said, what a week!

So I kind of wanted to attempt a weekly column for Space Junk where I would work my way through a specific TV series or movie franchise (a Space Junk Premium, if you will) but I couldn't find the right one to start with.  As it turns out, Zach Cregger's Resident Evil movie is about 2 months away, which should be just enough time to watch all of the live-action Resident Evil movies! Great idea, right? (Don't answer that.) I have only seen 2 or 3 previously but I'm going to call it RE Watch because that's just too good not to use. Feel free to follow along with me... or just let me suffer through it alone. Part 1 should be coming early next week.

To sweeten the deal, I am also going to *try* to play and write about some Resident Evil games I've never played before. Now I can't guarantee this is going to happen but I'm going to try to at least do the first Resident Evil (leaning toward Director's Cut instead of Remake). Resident Evil 3, 6 and 7 are the other ones I’ve never finished from the main line games (oh, and Code Veronica I guess). I'd love to dabble in a couple of the weirder RE games too, like The Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil Gaiden or even the Famicom predecessor Sweet Home but that might be pushing it. Anyway, I’ll figure something out. Let me know if there are other oddities I need to check out.

In other news, our physical copies of Garden City issue 2 have arrived from the printer and will be up for sale on Gumroad in the very near future. The cost of printing went up so the prices are probably going to be tweaked slightly. Jay is also planning to post one of our old Albinoman movies, Albinoman: The Motion Picture, over on his Art Brut Films Patreon in the near future. We are talking about doing some bonus stuff for that, possibly an audio commentary and/or something else. So keep an eye out for that too.
