Yesterday, I received a set of old watercolor tubes. There’s a price in francs on them, which I discovered while trying them out in this video. French franc stopped being used in 2002, so over 24 years ago, which means these must be at least that old - probably even older. I won’t spoil the video - watch it and see what happens.
I had planned a lot more for Substack this month, but at the beginning of April I caught a terrible stomach bug (possibly even a parasite). Then, over the weekend - when I was supposed to prepare the text for Rue des Rosiers for this series - I slammed my hand (pinched feels painful in a different way) in the balcony door and couldn’t draw. I’m fine now - my hand is healing (the gel I’m using and find helpful is in the video), and my stomach is back to normal - but the month has passed, and I’ve decided to embrace its fluctuations.
