We’re Reading This Together, Right?

Hi Reader,

Welcome to the last lap of 2025! The next time you read from me will be in 2026 or maybe the last week in 2025. So, how has your book club experience been so far?

Let’s finish strong, okay? Here are the books we’d be reading for the next couple of months.

In November, we’re reading books that fit the prompt, A Novel With Older Protagonist(s) 55+. This is the second time we’re trying this approach and from last year’s feedback, the end of the month meeting ends up being a rejuvenating experience for all of us.

About the meeting style, everyone will get 3-5mins to talk about the book they read, I ended up with so many recommendations last time. PS you can read more than one book.

In December, we’re reading The Windfall by Diksha Basu. As it’s become tradition, the last month of the year is reserved for books that fall on the light-hearted and fast paced spectrum.

Here’s a synopsis: The Jhas are moving up. For the past 30 years, their lives have been defined by cramped spaces and gossipy neighbors. In December, we’re off to Senegal via So Long A Letter by Mariama Bâ, translated by Modupé Bodé-Thomas. The novel, an African classic, captures the private lives of women in 1970s Senegal.
