Websocks Makin Websites

Hello there!

It's me, your old pal Sock Cop, reminding you that I'll be streaming on Twitch tonight starting at 7pm Central time.

Tommorow at the same Sock time and same Sock channel, is finally ROLLERCOASTER Night! I’m starting to think the rollercoaster theme is cursed. I had it planned for last week, but had to cancel because Moe broke her thumb. Hopefully nobody breaks anything else anytime soon 🤞

Thanks to everyone who came by Sunday’s makeup stream on Father’s Day, it was a hoot!

Speaking of Father’s Day, I had a pretty great one. Spent some quality time with the family, grilled some meats, and got a neat tiny Chinese TV!

If you saw last weeks newsletter, I drew a doodle of me watching soccer football. I didn’t realize Baby Sock was paying attention, but she wanted to draw and ended up drawing her own version.

I’ve talked about how much I love seeing art made by kids. Especially if it’s art of me! Even if I look like a Pacman who eats TVs instead of pellets.

I’ve talked on stream about how much I like personal websites, and dislike the fact that most of us only go to like 3 or 4 sites/apps when the internet could be so so much more.

So lately I’ve been messing around with making a website! I’ve tried different free gimmicks, and I think I’m going to mostly use the one you see above, which is on neocities. Get it? It’s like Geocities, but neo!

I’ve also messed around with mmm.page, straw.page,

All of them are free and have their pros and cons. If you have any interest in this stuff I’m happy to talk more about it. It really is fun, and it is much much easier to make a website today then ever before. Anyway, I think it’s neat and if you have a blog/website gimmick I would love to see it!
