The United States government is currently deporting people to countries that are not the countries those same people came from.
You heard that right. Though the Trump administration has not publicly announced this piece of their immigration enforcement regime, they are “under the radar” carrying out this practice every single day — deporting people to countries that are not their countries of origin.
Before we get into the why, just please know that this policy is illegal, it’s so wrong, it’s un-American, it’s abject cruelty, it goes against every conceivable notion of human rights, and it’s…evil. It’s just plain old evil!
And why is the Trump administration engaged in such a clear violation of human rights? To intimidate immigrants, chiefly immigrants from Mexico, from even thinking about coming to America. As reported by CBS News, ICE is deporting Mexican migrants to Central American countries despite pleas from the Mexican government to send these migrants back to their home country — these are Mexican citizens, after all.
Per CBS News — “ICE officials said one of the objectives of these deportations, which have not been formally announced by the Trump administration, is to deter illegal immigration from Mexico by sending some of its citizens further south and farther away from the U.S./Mexico border.”
Again, this is illegal, and a morally bankrupt policy ICE is engaged in secretly; they have not publicly announced they’re doing this. For obvious reasons, there would rightly be a huge outcry if Americans knew that ICE is doing this. But it begs that always pertinent question with Trump and ICE - what other illegal, cruel actions are they taking in the name of immigration enforcement that we’re not aware of?
I’m a broken record, but this is truly outrageous behavior. In the name of the United States of America. Punishing the real lives of real people, dumping them into countries they have ZERO familiarity with, putting their lives in danger, all to make a broader intimidating statement to all Mexicans - STAY OUT.
Romans, back in the time of Jesus, engaged in the horrible practice of public crucifixions to intimidate anyone else even thinking about committing certain crimes. And Roman authorities would leave the dead crucified bodies hanging for weeks as visible signs of intimidation, of what will happen to you if you commit a serious crime against the Roman state. What Trump and ICE are doing now is all meant to deliver the same intimidating message - “hey Mexicans, you wanna come to America? Well, if you do, we’re going to track you down, we’re going to detain you, and we’re going to deport you to some country you’ve never been in before…good luck surviving that.”
This is, not only illegal policy, it’s flat out evil. It’s consistent with where Trump has taken immigration enforcement in general in this country - to an extreme, dark, ugly, and un-American place. My only hope is that by engaging in such horrific policy, the American people will wake the fuck up in November and say without any doubt - “THIS MUST NOT BE WHO WE ARE!”
And then vote against every single Republican up and down the ballot on Election Day.

Under Trump’s mass-deportation agenda, ICE has become a weapon of fear, intimidation and, let’s call it what it truly is, evil. And they are ramping up efforts, illegal efforts, to deport more people regardless of their immigration status. They chase, hunt, arrest, detain and willfully defy local and state laws. And because they get paid for each person they arrest ICE has decided to arrest and detain first, let the courts work out the details later - IF these brown and Black people are not deported first. Before they get their day in court as promised by our immigration system.
It has come to light that the Trump administration is deliberately sitting on immigrants' applications for legal status — letting them expire without processing them — and then arresting and jailing the very people who tried to follow the legal process. They tell immigrants to do the right thing, then punish them for it.
