Matthew Quincy Daddario is the younger brother of actress Alexandra Daddario, who is best known for her roles in The White Lotus and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief & its sequel. Matthew Daddario garnered attention for playing Alec Lightwood in Freeform's supernatural drama series Shadowhunters, for which he also won two Teen Choice Awards in 2016 for Choice TV: Breakout Star and in 2018 for Choice TV: Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actor.
Additionally, Chicago Fire Season 15's latest cast addition appeared in the main role as Scooter in the second season of Paramount+'s dark comedy anthology series Why Women Kill. Daddario has also appeared in an episode of Tommy, Blue Bloods, and the 2025 TV film Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story. The actor's resume also includes some big-screen titles, namely Growing Up and Other Lies, Cabin Fever, and Wild Game.

Exploring major cast shake-ups in Chicago Fire Season 15

While Firehouse 51 will welcome new faces in the upcoming season, beloved stars Dermot Mulroney and Joe Miñoso will exit the firefighter procedural in Season 15.
Joe Miñoso, one of the last remaining original cast members along with Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, and Christian Stolte, plays firefighter Joe Cruz in Chicago Fire. Reportedly, Miñoso will return to wrap Cruz's character arc in Season 15, before his eventual exit from the procedural.
On the other hand, Mulroney joined NBC's procedural in Season 13 as Battalion Chief Dom Pascal, after Eamonn Walker's exit. While Mulroney took a hiatus midway through Season 14, Chief Pascal returned in the finale. However, both Mulroney and Joe Miñoso are set to exit Chicago Fire in the upcoming season.
The procedural is also set for a creative shake-up next season, as longtime showrunner Andrea Newman steps down after 14 seasons, with Victor Teran taking over the role.
While plot details for Chicago Fire Season 15 are scarce, the upcoming season will naturally pick up from the Season 14 cliffhanger, which saw many main characters trapped in a brutal structure fire at a storage facility, with no way out. Chicago fans are excited to see how their favorite firefighters will make it out of the fire alive.
Season 15 will debut on NBC on October 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, along with new seasons of Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.
