The Frequency of our Ancestors

There is a frequency that is always broadcasting.

It’s a signal of pure, high-vibrational love. Most of the time, we are too “stuck” in the noise of our own lives to tune in. But in this time of year, as the world quiets and the veil thins, that signal gets stronger. Our body is the etherial antenna, and if we choose to, we can listen.

I sat in this silence today, and I tuned in. I listened for the whispers of my mother, who transitioned across these realms earlier this year.

It wasn’t a memory. It was a shining light full of love, directed at my longing heart. A presence. And she told me what I needed to hear.

Follow your heart. Love deeply. Let go of the shame.

That’s the essence of this sacred path. Because shame... is pure static.

It’s the heavy, human noise of my own grief. It’s the pain seeping through my soul at the end of my marriage. It’s the old, stagnant patterns I’ve been working to transmute. It is the interference that blocks the very connection I crave—with myself, with those still here, and with her.

And what do we do when we feel that static, that shame, that loneliness?

We reach for the “blue pill.” We reach for the screen. We chase a “fake connection,” a subdued and mediated presents through a piece of glass. We send texts and scroll feeds, desperate for a low-grade hit of connection to quiet the noise.

But it’s a trap. It’s the “sensory damping narcotic” of our age.

And here is the ultimate irony: we use these devices to chase a phantom connection with the living, all while running from the silence that is the only way to connect with the presence of those who are gone.

My mother’s message can’t be found in a feed. Her presence isn’t in an ‘on this day’ notification. It’s in the deep, terrifying, transformative silence beyond this plane of existence.

The work, then, is to put the phone down. To sit in the silence. To tune the antenna to the frequency of love.

The work is to be fully present with the static of my own shame, and trust that the frequency of her love is stronger. To let that clear, divine signal burn the old patterns away.

That is how I follow my heart. That is how I let go of the shame. That is how I learn to love deeply again.

With love, in this time of deep honor and remembrance of our ancestors.
