U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., who has served as a congressman since 2013, has been subject to plenty of online misinformation over the years.
Snopes has covered rumors claiming Jeffries was photographed with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, that he attempted to contact Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro prior to his capture, and even, supposedly, that he attended Sean "Diddy" Combs' "freak off" parties. All of those claims were false and grounded in satire.
