Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. Not sure why you have a goose in your house, that might be something to look at before everything gets covered in feathers and goose plops. At the very least, you should ask for some carpet cleaner for Christmas. Once you’ve put that one your list, however, you might be stuck on what else you’d like as a present so here’s a handy list of things……
The man behind this website has written quite a few books, sometimes using the absurd nom de plume ‘Richard Porter’. You can find a full list of them at the bottom of this page. The latest books are what we might pretentiously call ‘a trilogy’ of slender volumes full of boring car trivia. By crikey, they’re tedious. Smith and Sniff is a podcast featuring Jonny Smith (TV presenter, car journalist, YouTube barn find maven) and Richard Porter (the man behind this website, hence the Sniff in the name). Together they are two friends who talk about cars. Except, often, they don’t. This is a blessing and a curse. Sniff Petrol was created and is/was mostly written by Richard Porter. Hi. That’s me. I’m writing about myself in the third person and it’s weird so I’m going to stop. I set up Sniff Petrol in 2002 because I had some free web space and I was bored. It was part-meant to be a shop window for my abilities and/or failings as a writer and sort of worked because it was instrumental in getting me the job……
