At airports, we shout into our phones and linger at the café selfishly long after finishing our drinks. And still, we strike up conversations with strangers, intrigued by the colors of their passports or the airport codes on their luggage tags. We let them use our phone chargers. We offer to hold the baby for a frazzled mother traveling alone who needs a moment to sort her things. I love airports.
