I spent a few days traveling with the Daylight DC 1. Mostly I read and I wrote. Previously I read on the base model Kindle. The Daylight is heavier but I managed to finish two books.

Reading with the Amber light turned on in the flight.

While at cafes, I used the Snap Tablet Stand. Makes it more comfortable for reading and when you want to use it with a keyboard.

I also did some writing- updating my travel stories. My writing and publishing workflow used Google docs. The google Drive and Docs app work well. I used the Mokibo keyboard for typing. It took me a couple of days to get used to but after that, I was typing with ease. The keyboard surface works as a track pad. Not all android gestures worked but scrolling worked just fine.

I made some sketches to illustrate my stories. I used the Concept app.

In Japan, I ordered this 11 inch envelope sleeve made by Hakuba. This made walking around easy.

For my writing, I cycle between iPad mini + Keyboard, a Thinkpad Nano, and a Macbook. I travel very light. So, I always look for devices that can do multiple things, and can hold charge for long hours. Daylight kind of works - this is the most productive trip in terms of reading, not so much for writing.
