I know what you’re thinking: there isn’t enough content out there to listen to, thank goodness! Well, with full trust that you’ll entertain this podcast as you have time, welcome to an experiment.
The Slow Mindfulness Podcast is a slow place where I’ll share some ideas that are resonating in my body and mind and offer them to you. I’ll keep them relatively short, unpolished, and invitational. More of a reminder of how much clearer things are when we slow down and don’t try to be perfect.
For this debut, I share my experience with a fabulous book I just listened to—TWICE!—on my road trip. It called How To Hold a Cockroach: A Book for Those who are Free and Don’t Know it (link to the Spotify Audiobook) by Matthew Maxwell.
It brought tears to my eyes and I think it can help all of us make a bit more peace with the things in our life that we resist. It’s a book about questioning stories, repatterning our lives, and what mindfulness “practice” really means.
Listen the full podcast (11 mins) where I share what this book meant to me. Can’t wait to hear what you think!
