I am a bit later than normal with my Sunday Stitch. I have been busy organising some of my stuff for tomorrow's drop off at the gallery. Jimini says he'll drive me there as I am not sure how my shoulder would hold up for a long drive, and I know I'll enjoy the company.
The Gallery suggested I have greeting cards of my work. I picked just 3 of my designs for my cards. I hope to do a bigger selection but I settled on 3 of my favourite stitched patterns for the time being. I was only going to get a few printed as samples but I managed to order far more than I intended 🥺 It's not too bad really as I can always put them on the website & I am very happy how they turned out.
I've been printing my logo on the back with my original lino print. Little did I know when I made it, so many years ago, that it would prove so useful and long lasting. I could have just got it printed but I like the idea that each one is hand printed.
I have also made a display board for some of my "Procrastination Patches." I was lucky enough to find a suitable frame & cork tiles in the local charity shop. I then painted it and covered it with felt. I am pleased with the result, I am not generally known for my construction skills!
I am just letting the first batch of cards dry before I do some more. I don't think think I'll need many, but as I have the ink, cards & lino all out, I might as well crack on and do as many as I can 😊
That's it for the Sunday Stitch, just tying up a few loose threads and trying to rest my shoulder. I hope this finds you all well & hopefully I'll catch you next Sunday & I can tell you how the opening went.
