Fall ball is upon us and we thought it’d be a good time to highlight a number of uncommitted 2026’s who had good summers across a number of our teams. The guys below are still looking for places to play at the next level. We’ve got notes for you on all uncommitted players from our top 2, 2026 teams (Duman and Anderson); as well as a handful of summer performers from Grammerstorf, Dunsmoor, and Quintana. Last year, 18 out of 19 players featured in our top uncommitted performers from the summer blog went on to commit to play in college.
Cole Pfeifer: SS - Ralston Valley HS
Hit .274 across 43 games this summer while getting on base at a .345 clip. Ripped 5 doubles and 2 triples. Walked 13 times and struck out just 10 times in 139 PA. Also stole 9 bases. His last Engine Score on record was a .87 he registered ahead of the 2024 summer season while measuring in at a tick over 6-2, 185 lbs. The .87 Engine Score put him well above the average for his age at the time and put him in line physically with our average Power 4 commit.
What coach says: “Love this kid. Helps every team he’s on win. Baseball, basketball… all of it. Competitive. Never turns off. Physical RHH. Reliable defender. Ability to stay at SS/3B at the next level. Great IQ/instincts. Will get outs on bump too. Strikes and can change slots. Deceptive look.”
Jacob Olson: CF - Regis Jesuit HS
What coach says: “Olson is really good. I think he’s our best bat behind Luc Gaca Thiele (Columbia) and Damian Alvarez (McLennan CC). Dad played with the Rockies and at Florida. He runs well and doesn’t punch out. Handles velo. D1 high academic.”
James Varela: LHP - Broomfield HS
Pitched to a 1.73 ERA this summer across 13 starts. Punched out 42 in 36.1 IP.
What coach says: "This is a pitchability lefty who mixes a curveball and changeup behind an 82-84 fastball that plays up. He’s a good arm. Has junior college and D2 interest.”
Brodin Robbins: LHP - East HS (WY)
What coach says: “Robbins is a 6-3, two-way (LHP/OF) from Wyoming. He’s 84-86 on the bump and can play outfield too. He’s a left-handed hitter who runs. Just a good raw athlete. Has generated plenty of junior college interest and will make a decision after the fall.”
This is a 6-3 righty who has been up to 88 and throws the slider and changeup for strikes. He punched out 27 in 29.1 IP this summer while pitching to a 5.49 ERA.
Hit .357 this summer with a .982 OPS across 46 games. 8 doubles, 5 triples, more walks than strikeouts. Stole 15 bags. Measured in at 5-11, 183 lbs. back in May and logged a .89 Engine Score. Physically and athletically on-par with our average Power 4 Division 1 commit from the past few years.
What coach says: “The best player on our team that hasn’t committed. Lots of D1 interest. Left-Left, true centerfielder. High IQ, plus defender, has some juice. High academic. No clue why he’s still available.”
Teddy Kleinert: 1B - Cherry Creek HS
In 28 games this summer, he hit .267 with a .408 OBP and a third of his hits went for extra-bases. At a tick over 6-1, 200 lbs., he registered an Engine Score of .88 ahead of the summer schedule. This is a strong, physical kid.
What coach says: “Kleinert is surprisingly athletic for his build and is an absolute thumper. Played 1B/DH for the 5A state champions in Colorado last year. Has been a guy that has handled higher velos very well for us.”
Trystan Chadwick: 3B/1B - Valor Christian HS
Hit .343 across 43 games this summer with a .901 OPS while ripping 10 doubles, a triple, and a home run. He measured in at a tick under 6-4, 167 lbs. at the beginning of the summer and registered a .87 Engine Score. This is a D1 body and the performance this summer matched.
What coach says: “Trystan is long, athletic, and quick. He could potentially play SS or corner outfield for you. This is a D1 athlete.”
Tyson Thome: OF - Cherry Creek HS
What coach says: “He has above a 4.0 GPA, very twitchy and athletic. Has really good arm strength. Garnering D2 and juco interest. Interested in exploring academic D3 options.”
What coach says: “Bode is a prototypical catcher, my pitchers all love throwing to him. Probably my best all around catch & throw guy. Long & strong body. Had some D1 interest earlier in the summer.”
Kayden Bohmeyer: C - Grandview HS
Hit .316 this summer with a .473 OBP across 131 plate appearances. Punched just 9 times and walked 26 times.
What coach says: “If you’re looking for a jack of all trades, Kayden is a primary catcher but plays infield & outfield at a high level as well. He’s a 6.7 runner. Kayden also missed all of last year with a knee injury and has worked his ass off to get back. I wasn’t sure what to expect coming off the injury, but he won the catcher job at his high school that made a Final 4 run at our highest classification, hit lead off and was 1st team all conference.”
Hit .261 this summer with an .849 OPS across 40 games while knocking a pair of home runs.
What coach says: “Colton has a medium, stocky build and plays with high energy. Probably the best thrower I have. Runs well & hits for some juice.”
Caleb Korth: UTIL - IMG Academy (FL)
Hit .286 across 122 plate appearances with an .859 OPS. 5 doubles, 4 triples, and a home run to go with 13 steals. Performed on the bump in a short sample with a 1.50 ERA in 9.1 IP.
What coach says: “LH thrower, RH bat. Twitchy with pop. Really good runner and all around athlete. Likely Juco. On the bump, it’s not loud, but he can spin it.”
Beckett Bacon: LHP - Chaparral HS
Pitched to a 3.41 ERA with 27 punches in 24.2 innings pitched this summer. Also hit .342 in 48 plate appearances. Measured in at a tick over 5-11, 177 lbs. in May and generated a .90 Engine Score. Performance and athleticism in line with our typical Mid-Major D1 commitments.
What coach says: “The epitome of a crafty lefty, this multi-sport honor student comes with a complete 4-pitch arsenal, is the ultimate competitor & strike thrower. Has pitched against premier competition and always gives us a shot to win. Might be the best pitcher on my team.”
Tyler Houston: RHP - Legend HS
Allowed just 16 hits across 30.2 IP this summer while punching out 31 and registering a 1.60 ERA. Measured in a tick over 6-1, 163 lbs. and landed a .72 Engine Score in May. Ran almost a 70% groundball rate this summer while holding opposing hitters to a .142 BAA.
What coach says: “Dude has electric stuff, runs his fastball into the low 90’s and features a lights-out slider. Currently has 3, D1 offers & should be making a decision here soon. High academic.”
Keaton Maiorana: RHP - Mountain Vista HS
Opponents hit .174 against him in 27 innings pitched this summer. He punched 48 while allowing just 16 hits and pitching to a 2.60 ERA. High-spin breaking ball at consistently 2600+ rpm. Measured in at a tick over 6-5, 199 lbs. and registered an Engine Score of .85. Might be the highest ceiling pitching prospect in the Slammers 2026 class. If he’s not, it’s close.
What coach says: “Fast riser, features a heavy fastball consistently in the 90 mph range. Has been up to 94-95 and has really improved his competitiveness & strike throwing. You’re also going to love his breaking ball, which consistently wipes out hitters. High academic. Has a chance to play pro with the right program and further development.”
Landen Holmes: RHP - Eaglecrest HS
In 20.1 innings this summer, pitched to 1.03 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP. Punched 19 and walked just 7 while allowing 3 earned runs. 67% strikes this summer with nearly 70% of first pitches for strikes. Hit .273 in 77 plate appearances with 4 doubles and more walks than strikeouts. Measured in at a tick over 5-10, 159 lbs. in May, but despite smaller stature, solid all-around, two-way ballplayer.
What coach says: “Won’t light up the radar gun, but will pound the zone & consistently miss barrels with good mix for pitches.”
Matthew Hegerle: MIF - Bear Creek HS
Hit .365 in 148 plate appearances this summer with an OPS of .896. Knocked 8 doubles and a triple while stealing 14 bags. Punched just 11% of the time. A tick over 5-10, 157 lbs. in May with above-average sprint speed underway and a .65 Engine Score. This is a good athlete with more projection as he adds strength. Consistent exits around 90 mph during the Slammers Showcase in August. Will be a good get for someone.
Eli Shappee: OF/1B - Regis Jesuit HS
Measured in at a tick over 6-2, 190 lbs. in May and registered a .87 Engine Score. Physically and athletically meets the markers of a Power 4 prospect. Got to ~100 mph exit velos during his Slammers Showcase BP in August. Hit .256 in 109 plate appearances this summer with 7 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run. Also stole 11 bags. Looks the part, has the impact to match, and a sweet left-handed swing that stays on-plane well through the zone.
Matthew Marocchi: 3B - Cherry Creek HS
Hit .295 with an .870 OPS in 116 plate appearances this summer with 3 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run. Measured in at 6-0, 176 lbs. in May with an Engine Score of .54. Consistent low-90’s exits during the Slammers Showcase in August.
Gavin Crino: RHP - Cherry Creek HS
Measured in at a tick under 6-5, 157 lbs. in May and registered an Engine Score of .52. Runs it into the high-80’s with a long, loose, and easy arm action. If he’s able to add strength to his frame, there’s more coming. Punched 39 in 35 innings over the summer while pitching to a 3.60 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP. Plenty of strikes. Easy on the eyes and trending up.
Cade Stephenitch: LHP - Lutheran HS
Punched 28 in 25.1 innings this summer. Only allowed 11 hits. If he can land more strikes, he’s going to be tough. Generates whiff, tons of weak contact, held hitters to a .125 BAA. Measured in at 6-5, 161 lbs. in May with a .61 Engine Score. Low-to-mid 80’s on the bump currently. Left-handed pitcher with some interesting traits and performance with some projection remaining.
Jace Brockett: MIF - Mountain Vista HS
Hit .391 this summer with a .975 OPS across 38 games for Slammers Dunsmoor. 30 walks to 18 strikeouts across 124 plate appearances. Stole 42 bags in 47 tries. Measured in at a tick under 5-11, 141 lbs. in May and registered a Loden Speed Score of 7 and a Loden Score of 5. Registered an Engine Score of .70. Chance to get to more impact as he continues to fill out. Dynamic left-handed hitting, middle infielder. One of the better athletes in the Slammers 2026 class. Playing with Grammerstorf 2026 this fall.
Hudson Fagerholt: RHP - Thunderridge HS
On the bump he punched 37 in 29 innings this summer while allowing just 16 hits while working consistently in the mid-to-high 80’s and touching 90 - also features a slider and a changeup. Batters hit .165 against him this summer and he generated a 12% whiff rate - if he can land more strikes, has a chance to be really good for someone at the next level. A solid athlete, Fagerholt measured in at a tick over 6-0, 185 lbs. and registered a Loden Score of 3 and an Engine Score of .79 - about consistent with the physicality and athleticism of our average D2 commitment over the past few years. Also hit .258 with 7 doubles, a triple, a homerun, and more walks than strikeouts.
James Kellogg: OF - Heritage HS (Not on Fall Roster)
All he’s ever done is hit and this summer was no exception. He hit .409 across 114 plate appearances with a .500 OBP and an OPS of 1.091. He racked up 9 doubles, a triple, and 2 homeruns. He also jumped on the bump for 39 innings and pitched to a 2.77 ERA with plenty of strikes. Good ballplayer. At the Slammers Showcase in August, he flirted with triple digit exit velos and pummeled a ball 400+ feet. In May 2024, he measured in at 5-10, 190 lbs. and registered a .83 Engine Score. Despite his stockier build, there is plenty of physicality and athleticism to profile at a corner at the next level.
Cooper Ueland: MIF - Rock Canyon HS (Not on Fall Roster)
.351 hitter in 100 plate appearances this summer with a .914 OPS. Impact is a little light, but went a perfect 15-for-15 on stolen bases. Measured in at 5-11, 161 lbs. this spring and registered top-end speed on par with our average Power 4 commit (Loden Speed 6). Wide receiver and safety on the Rock Canyon football team this fall. Fun player.
Noah Reickert: OF - Cheyenne Mountain HS (Not on Fall Roster)
Consistently one of the better pure athletes across all Slammers teams for the 2026 class over the years. Loden Score of 5 and an Engine Score of .82 at just over 6-0, 185 lbs. - physically and athletically consistent with a Mid-Major D1 prospect. Hit .351 this summer in 118 plate appearances with a .936 OPS. 10 doubles and a triple to go with 12 stolen bases. Struck out less than 13% of the time. Multiple 100+ exits at the Slammers Showcase in August. The performance matched the tools this summer.
Jacob Combest: RHP - Legend HS
Measured in at a tick under 6-2, 154 lbs. in May and registered a .70 Engine Score. This is a good athlete and was a favorite of a handful of the collegiate contingent at the Slammers Showcase in August. Worked in the mid-80’s for most of the summer and ran it up to 87. Threw 27.2 innings this summer and punched 34. 10.6% swing and miss rate. If he can land more strikes, he’ll be helpful for someone.
Colton Pamenter: RHP/OF - Chaparral HS
This is a right-handed pitcher who has recently been up to 86. This summer, he punched 28 in 21.1 innings while allowing just 11 hits and pitching to a 2.11 ERA with a .98 WHIP. Held hitters to a .155 BAA and generated 12.7% whiff. Measured in at a tick under 6-0, 144 lbs. in May. Ran well (Loden Speed Score of 6) - sub-4.00, 30-yd sprint. Solid athlete who will continue to fill out. Also hit .300 across 106 plate appearances with an OPS of .828. Future on the bump.
Griffin Hasche: RHP - Legend HS
Threw 37.2 innings this summer and punched 40 while allowing just 27 hits and pitching to a 1.43 ERA. Opposing hitters hit .197 against him. Coach says: “Completely dominant every outing and just needs to keep growing.”
Jake Moseley: C - Cherokee Trail HS
Hit .346 across 117 plate appearances this summer with an .816 OPS with 6 doubles and a triple. Coach says: “Plus defensive catcher who mashes.”
Kenny Fourzan: 3B - Air Academy
Hit .341 in 105 plate appearances this summer. Walked more than he struck out (15:12). Went a perfect 21-21 on stolen bases. Measured in at a tick over 6-1, 162 lbs. in May and registered a Loden Score of 4 with 6 Speed - roughly on par athletically with a Mid-Major D1 prospect. Engine Score of .53 is lagging and is an indication that further strength is needed - if he adds it, expect the impact to come with the bat and for the athleticism to play up around his solid stick.
Madden Kretzer: MIF - Chaparral HS
Measured in at a tick under 6-3, 157 lbs. and registered an Engine Score of .74 in May. Young for his class and projectable. Consistent 90 mph exit velos at good angles during his BP at the Slammers Showcase in August. Stuffed the stat sheet this summer. Hit .380 in 113 plate appearances with an OPS north of 1.000. 5 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs. 17 walks and a miniscule 6% k-rate. 27 stolen bases.
Matthew Kossik: MIF - Columbine HS
.371 this summer in 103 plate appearances. 10 doubles and 2 triples to go with 13 stolen bases. Max exit velo of 93 (LA: 17) at the Slammers Showcase in August. Solid athlete that measured in at 5-11, 157 lbs. and registered a Loden Score of 4 in May. Another one that could continue to blossom with added physicality. Excellent student looking for an academic D3 opportunity.
Logan Sullivan: C - Air Academy
This is a left-handed hitting catcher who measures in just under 6-3, 180 lbs. and registered a Loden Score of 5 - an above-average athlete for his age group. His .74 Engine Score puts his total physical profile in-line with the average Slammers Mid-Major D1 prospect. Grabbed a 104.8 mph exit velo during his BP at the Slammers Showcase in August (LA: 20). Hit .301 in 100 plate appearances this summer with an OPS over 1.000. 6 doubles, 4 triples, and a home run. Walked 25 times to 16 strikeouts. Stole 13 bags. Look, it’s a left-handed hitting, physical, athletic catcher with tools and performance this summer. This is a potential impact commit for a non-D1 school.
