Let me start by being very clear about something. What you are about to see is approximately 1% of the product I have in my house. One percent. And it’s 50% of the products I have in the bathroom. I have more below the sink, but we’ll leave that for another day. The clutter has a system. I know where everything is.
Right. Now that we’ve established that — let’s get into it.
Secret — this mystery product on the far right is my favourite deodorant and antiperspirant. I first discovered it in the States, and every single time I’m there, I top up. It is so good that it brought me out of natural deodorant retirement. I had fully given up on conventional deodorants, and this one pulled me straight back. That’s how well it works.
Nonfiction Exfoliating Hand Wash — I am obsessed with this brand. Nonfiction is a Korean personal care and fragrance brand that is genuinely popular in Korea, not just exported-for-Western-consumption popular, actually used and loved in Korea. I picked this up on my trip in April, and the scent is just gorgeous. Very cool, considered brand. Add it to your list for when you go.
Selahatin Mouthwash — yes, the yellow glass. The overpriced mouthwash I’ve mentioned before. It is overpriced, and I don’t care because it makes the experience elevated, enjoyable, and honestly a little flowery in the best possible way. You know I don’t do boring oral care.
Oribe Body Lotion — this one surprised me because Oribe is primarily a haircare brand, and I only recently discovered they do body care too. The lotion is very lightweight. If you have dry skin, this will not cut it for you from a moisturisation standpoint, but if you love a light lotion with a really gorgeous summery scent, you’ll love this. It’s lovely.
Weleda Revitalising Body Oil — I picked this up just last weekend. The hero ingredient is sea buckthorn, which is fantastic for dry, parched skin. It has a beautiful citrusy kind of scent, really nice slip, and it’s reasonably priced. Weleda oils are genuinely slept on, and I will not stop saying it until people listen.
Mediheal Cleanser — another Korea April find. This one doubles up as a hydrating mask and a cleanser, which I love. It’s thick and creamy, very nourishing, and just genuinely lovely to use. The K-beauty double-duty product is always a yes from me.
Crest Whitening Toothpaste — because we keep our teeth white around here. I recently revealed on social that I love Crest whitening strips, and this toothpaste is what I use alongside them for maximum results. Been doing it for years, and it works. For those in the UK who can’t get their hands on Crest, Oral-B is the equivalent brand, literally the same company, so that’s your starting point.
The products on this shelf rotate constantly, but here’s what’s on it right now.
The middle shelf is mostly oils. Oils I’ve tested, some of which I’ve fallen hard for. A few highlights:
The red one is Tronque — tronque as in the French word for torso or trunk. Really interesting brand. Salt and Stone Body Oil is also there — love that one. There’s also the Winter Body Oil by Rowse, which I’ve been enjoying. And the Gypsy Water Body Oil by Byredo — this is a limited edition and their only body oil, and it is really, really nice. If you can still find it, get it.
And then I have a women’s balance body oil from Neal’s Yard that I genuinely reach for during PMS. It’s calming, it smells beautiful, and it just makes you feel a little more grounded. Highly recommend.
My Grin Flossing Sticks are also on this shelf. I’ve spoken about these online before. We love them.
The shelf above is a mishmash of exfoliants. I have things from The Ordinary, from Prequel. My trusty Driclor is there. An Ingrown Hair Serum from Venus. Another body oil from Saltair. And the L’Oréal Elvive Hair Growth Serum.
The bottom shelf is the mask shelf. And again, this is a small portion of the masks I carry. I sheet mask every single day, and it will transform your skin if you commit to it. I learned this from multiple trips to South Korea, and I have not looked back. I use Korean sheet masks exclusively, no exceptions.
Also on this shelf: the Obagi Salicylic Acid Toner — my favourite SA toner. It is very astringent, it stings, and it will make your pores disappear into oblivion. Worth it. Dr. G Dermoisture Barrier D — a little K-beauty tub that I use to slug when my skin is feeling sensitised. Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water — the OG formula is the one I love most (more liquid, less gel), but I’m working through the gel version now, and it’s doing its job. My faithful makeup remover, always.
And then the Medik8 Exo-PDRN Prismatic+ Serum — yes, I actually use the products I advertise. I know some of you think I just show up and push products I’ve never touched. No. I only take on brands I either genuinely love or would happily recommend to a friend. This serum is one of them.
Finally, tucked at the back, is a Frédéric Malle Body Oil. I need to make a full video on this one. Just know it’s there, and it’s gorgeous.
