The Sire turns TWENTY this month! And we’ve got a SLEW of awesome announcements to help celebrate the milestone moment – including the launch of the latest installment: The Sire: Aftermath #3 on Kickstarter!
First off, what a day I had celebrating the release of the SIRE exclusive Soccer Gods card set at Kaiju Brooklyn Con, Sunday May 31st, in Brooklyn, NY.
Thanks to our friends at Starlight Runner, The Sire has been added to the Soccer Gods limited-edition signed promotional card set. Soccer Gods is a new franchise property created by Jeff Gomez (transmedia producer of Halo, Transformers, Spider-Man, Avatar) of Starlight Runner Entertainment and produced by Carlos Medina of Que Pop / Modesto Educational Foundation.
Each card set represents a premium collectible tier, with the strict 1,000-card print limit per anime-inspired design.
(And I got to sign a LIMITED RUN of cards!!)
The Sire first debuted in June 2006 through After Shock Comics about a superhero FORCED by his costume to fight evil. It’s like having a spider-sense but instead of warning him of danger it PUTS him in danger!
It featured a killer cover by friend and frequent collaborator Talent Caldwell and interior art by Daniel Leister.
Over the course of his many adventures since (15 chapters to date!) he’s battled supervillains, tech moguls and a secret shadow government within the U.S. government – all in service to an alien life form ready to arrive on Earth and bring forth our next evolution.
But has this alien been lying the entire time?
