Things I Don’t Do

I don’t have images in my articles, use eye catching scripts, this might be my first title that induces people to read (idk that yet, it‘s just an idea), use AI to write the articles, take frequent naps, crochet, sew, nor do I do lawns or garden (cue black thumb).

Why not? Well when it comes to writing, I’m a recovering perfectionist and if I take the time to find the write image for the article, decide on different fonts, use fancy titles (besides the fact that I love making you think the article is about one thing and making it another) or take the time to give AI the exact direction I want the article to go, the article will NEVER get published.

As for the other things, I’m working on taking more naps, no interest in crochet or sewing at this time, I’m allergic to grass and well… the black thumb kinda discourages me from trying. That being said, when I move I will get a snake plant since i understand those are hard to kill. Not impossible, just hard.

I guess you want to know what I do do? Baking, write (obviously), paint, voice act, journal (create journals), I’m in school to get my MBA in entrepreneurship but mostly I’m figuring out life as I go along. The other day I realized what my life purpose was/is.

No, it wasn’t some crazy existential realization. It was surprisingly rather simple: to make people feel good. What does that mean? It’s actually a very broad life purpose because that could mean giving a compliment or encouragement to a stranger, creating baked goods that transport you to a happy place, create art that moves you, voice audio that make you feel less alone, write a book or an article that makes you laugh or cry or any feeling in between or even creating journals that encourage you on your journey as you rebuild your life.

Some people could freak out and be intimidated but I love it. The funny thing is I never thought I was a creative. Sure, I can write but so can a lot of people. But no one writes exactly the way I do. If I’m lucky, people may try to copy me one day but that day is not here yet. Some might even try to copy my painting style which I’m still figuring out myself to be honest.

What’s the best thing about being me? I had to think about that for a second but I think the best thing about being me is that I finally decided one day to share my life as it was and to be me. To not copy anyone else’s writing style and to live true to my own. Why? Because it’s easier that way.

If there’s anything I have learned in this life, it’s that people get to easy peasy, lemon squeezey after they’re already gone down the not so easy lemon DIFFICULT way. Maybe there’s another reason they call it living on easy street. Maybe it’s because they finally decided to live true to themselves and then the things they wanted came easily, including money.

How do I know? I don’t, it’s only a theory however what I can say is that ever since I started living truer to who I was and am, the ideas have flowed a lot easier and I’ll take it. Check back in a year or less and then you’ll really know.
