Hi hi
I’m looking for prompts (from you, dear friends!) to catalyse some new work. It could be a single word, a picture, a question about something esoteric, a place name, some map co-ordinates, whatever really. Unusual is good. Don’t feel the need to craft anything special, just chuck in a few little pushes if you fancy.
My plan is I’ll take a look and have a think and see if something what comes out: an essay! a collage! a poem! something else! Maybe it’ll turn into something or maybe nothing will come from it or maybe a huge and wildly entertaining book or zine or operetta—or at the moment most likely the next issue of Minor Leagues.
I won’t be able to respond to everything, of course, but I’m hoping I can respond to somethings. It’s an experiment and maybe it’ll work and maybe it won’t. No timescale—life is all sorts of busy—but I hope I’ll be able to chip away slowly over the coming months and see where it takes me.

This new pamphlet is sort of a follow-up to my book WHERE? and sort of a stab in the dark at how to squish together historical texts (newspapers, books, folklore), diary fragments, and images (collages mostly) to evoke a sense of being in a place that is very hard to know. Fragmentary texts, pictures, hinting at something but not quite saying it. It emerged from a series of walks taken on Titterstone Clee, and a period of archive research.
