Geometry, Percentages and Best Value

Through my YouTube channel, I'm getting fairly used to comments from different areas of the world. More recently there has been views from as far apart as New Zealand, Cayman Islands and Belgium. It's amazing that the channel reaches a long way beyond the UK shoreline.

Perhaps one of the benefits of working online, is that distance is no object. Tutoring two brothers in Australia, is as easy as talking to a family locally.

It is important to focus on algebra skills, particularly as you move towards High School. Although there are other maths topics that you need to become familiar with - geometry, statistics and working with numbers.

Here's a worksheet with some geometry questions, to get you started with a very interesting subject.

Percentage questions are extremely useful and, 50% of the time, I think you'll use them in maths - providing you are paying 100% attention.

Best value questions tend to be non-calculator, and are based on 'real maths.'

As you work through these look for the easiest calculation ... rather than a unit price, perhaps think about the lowest common multiple?
