Ambulance District shelves permanent levy

During the Aug. 17 Washington County Commission meeting, commissioners recessed from their regular session to convene as the Board of the Weiser Ambulance District (BWAD), the separate taxing district responsible for local emergency medical services. The board reviewed payroll and general claims before turning to the question of whether to rerun the district’s proposed permanent .006 levy on the Nov. 3 ballot.
